We met a really lovely couple, Kate and Dom, last night in the hotel bar, who invited us back to Lancashire to explore tunnels, caves and disused mines plus some great on/off road biking. Struggled to get out of bed this morning, it was a very comfy bed so it was hard not to roll over and go back to sleep, but we had ordered breakfast for 7.30, as usual, which I think was a bit earlier than our hosts were used to, so up we got and by 8.20 we were on the road and soon over the border into England, but it was hard, really, really hard. Yet another lovely stopover with lovely people, on the sheep farm. We woke at 6.30 to see seven hot-air balloons from our bedroom window, Jake was still in love with their guard dog but it was time to leave after a quick porridge, egg breakfast and a chat at breakfast with two removals drivers who were moving a back surgeon from Warrington to Glasgow.
