Can't believe it's time to leave Peru tomorrow! :(
Peru is definitely my favourite country so far. Full of culture and just a beautiful country. Definitely want to come back one day and explore more areas of Peru. I will definitely miss the bread! Can never get enough of it here.
Met the others at 9am to go to the cafe we went yesterday lunchtime for breakfast instead of having free breakfast at the hotel, as a treat. I had pancakes which were so filling! They gave me three but one would be enough!
Just chilled at the hotel for a hour or two before going to the airport to get our flight to Lima. There was this protest of some kind going on in the street our hotel was on. I have never seen so many people walk past in the space of 15/20 minutes!
The journey back to Lima was smooth but waited for what felt like forever for our luggage! Checked in the same hotel as we stayed In the first night and I got my own room which was a nice change :D
It's so much warmer in Lima especially at night where I don't even need a coat. This is more like it lol!
Met the others and went out to this really nice seafood restaurant. We shared some ceviche for our starter having tried some last night. And I just love it! Fish/seafood lovers, this is a must try! You'll love it for sure! I had black risotto with prawns and squid for my main meal which was really nice but so filling!
Didn't have to pay a thing as one of the men in the group, Michael, insisted on paying for all of us and there were 8 of us! Of course we protested but he insisted. It wasn't cheap too and we had some wine which obviously added to the cost. Bless him! Couldn't complain though :p
As we were walking to and from the restaurant we walked through this park that had so so many cats around. Some kittens which were adorable too, I just wanted to pick them up and give them a cuddle but knew better not to.
After having been to Cusco, I'm not keen on Lima at all from what I've seen of it. It's good enough for a quick visit. The culture and atmosphere is different here.
Got an early start in the morning to get my flight to Santiago. Looking forward to visiting a new country and experiencing their culture :)
