Hola Amigos! I've been in Colombia for a week now so thought I should update you on what I've been up to. I'll start with our arrival and the big welcome party we received in Barranquilla airport. After 3 flights and 24 hours of travelling, Jenny, Will and I arrived at Barranquilla airport in the evening where we were greeted by about 20 people from AIESEC Uniatlántico. They sang and danced and waved their flags and generally just made us feel so welcome in a country so far away and so different from our own. This was followed by much photo taking with the Colombian and UK flags before we went our separate ways to the homes of our host families.

The next day I went to my buddy's house who I have been paired with to give me guidance and help whilst I'm in Colombia. She's called Natie and lives really close to my host (Wilfran), so she showed me around the local area. We got the bus in to town where we met the others and their buddies so that we could buy a Colombian sim card. Later I went back to Natie's house where she introduced me to her family and we practised some Spanish/English speaking.
