Last day in Georgetown is on its way as tomorrow morning at 5.00 I will start my busride to Phuket.
I have enjoyed this place as it is almost like my whole trip in one small place. The old town of Georgetown is on the UNESCO World Heritage list so there is a lot of interesting architecture here. As this used to be the first British colonial outpost in this region the city has vibrant Chinese, Indian, Malay and Arabic population with their cultures, cuisines etc. I also found out that athough the city is relatively popular with packpackers and even "normal" tourists it is still very cheap. There are also famous beach resorts outside the City, but I am not interested in them this time.
I have spent my time here mostly reading, because it does not take too much time to see the sights here. I have saved the Fort Cornwallis for today mainly because it was surrounded by RR-competitions yesterday and day before yesterday.
