A day in Istanbul while changing the plane. We had 8 hrs to spend, so we went to the city centre by a metro and a tram, it took about 45mins to the stop where you could see the blue mosque and Hagia Sofia. Went also inside the blue mosque, since we were here now, and I guess we never will again. So we can say that "been there, seen that". Had to take a scarf on our heads, when went inside, which wasn't such an easy piece for me.. ;P Just do NOT like anything what that religion represents... That sucks. Took coupla pics inside, and ok, seen that. Then we went to eat a tradional kebab into the old town, in a restaurant called Khorasani.
In a tourist area, so a bit annoying and overpriced, but it was ok. Gotta write a review to TripAdvisor, 'cause that's where we picked it from. Maybe not so good as it sounded over there.
Then took the trains back to the airport. I really think that this was enough Istanbul and Turkey for me. Don't need to come here again, not interested. This was convenient like this. ;) Now waiting for our transfer flight to HCMC.
The mosque was, well, a mosque. Nice architecture, only pity that the religion stuff has to be included. But only as a building, sure it was beautiful. So ok...more interesting, sure, than spending the 8hrs at the airport.
