Denmark is really small. It took 2-3 hours to drive down most of the length to Koldng.
It was so strange to unpack. To decide where everything would belong. Which shelf would hold books, in which draw my undies would live. In my suitcase I found $0.95 Singapore money, an ANZAC poppy, and the plastic poker chips which i stole from the ball in June. I don't know why I put them in, but having random junk lying around makes it feel like I'm actually staying here for a while.Wuu? Actually.
Today I tried out riding a bike. A bike which I will ride to school every day from Tuesday or Wednesday onwards. CrappyMcShortNewZealandLegs fails.
I'll get used to it.

It'sbeen more than two weeks now and I feel like I'm due to update. Some things are changing, and I like it. I no longer feel like Shawn Tan's Arrival (http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/11/books/review/Yang-t.html). I saw this performed at Auckland festival earlier on in the yearfor writer's group. I think it could be a great illustration of how I felt from two weeks ago untill now.An arrival in a foerign city, country, land. The culture, and little ways people do things is qute similar to what I'm used to (I'm not going to over exagurate for effect) and it's not like the weather has reached an unfamilar exteem either. I'm begining to work into my new schedule of waking up at 6:30 (and there's the occasional first period cancelation),and rolling into the 1 hour 15 minute classes. That's a bit harder to to get used to because they often feel like 2 hours when I barely understand the subject of discussion.Math will always be the same in every language, and I'm hoping that we stick with the English (instead of German) versionof the periodic table.
Days still move very slow and biking with familar tunes buzing into my ears has become the most exciting part of my day.
iii) Thursday, 27 Aug.
Apparently, it's now time for me to move on. Monday's the day. I'll just say that sometimes things need to change. Sometimes you get shaken and tossed about into a new place. Sometimes you don't really know exactly where you will be in one week, or in two. Sometimes a bit of a storm asrises and everything that you found to be settled is stired.I've become at peace with my move.I'm at peace with everything. I found the eye of the storm. Even though there's this change and confusion happening around me, I have an incredible joy and peace for the fact that I'm here. I'm here. I'm on the other side of the world. People think upside down and everything comes in Liquorce flavour.School is the most boring thing of my life but I love it so much. They treat the students like they have a brain and there isn't an angry man roaming the halls to check that you're in class.
The point is, I'm here. I didn't get here by accident.
Just keep going.
Love, Sylvia.
