Well, the final week of living in Australia is upon me.
I am currently at work in Greenslopes Hospital, Brisbane (I'm my own supervisor so taking a few liberties here and there with the old 'net access...) I will be working until Friday 5pm then I fly from The Gold Coast to Kuala Lumpur at 8.40am Saturday 19/09/09. Does involve leaving my share house at 4am though... eurgh.
I had all these cool things I was going to do, places to see and randoms to meet but I guess I just got settled into my share house and let the last 3 months just meander past in a blur of everyday living, albeit in a much warmer and sunnier climate. Still, I enjoyed it and I discovered lots of new things about myself.
I have done a few things recently, but rather than bore you with meaningless details, I'll just upload some more photos at the end of this week.
I am looking forward to coming home and catching up with old friends. I will be back living in the Shire of Norwich, after an official absence of 2 years. Long enough for history to become naught but a distant memory...
With regard to my plans to establish a Women & Children's Refuge, its looking more likely that I will begin with a Community Based Project (CBP) aimed at helping a wider range and larger section of the local community. In time I will gain the experience necessary and then perhaps the Refuge will come when it is ready. I'll keep you all posted (start digging deep behind the sofa cushions now for me please!)
I guess that's pretty much it. I will post another blog, although most likely once I'm back home in England. Keep an eye out for new pictures and updates.
Big love, hugs and jazz hands to you all.
Da Shrew
