Well I managed to do something slightly cultural and went to watch the sun set over Sydney Opera House and to see the giant bats fly out of the Royal Botanical Gardens as darkness took hold. The bats are enormous - like the size of house cats or small-ish dogs. About 100 of them just swooped out and over the quay.
We went out for Claire's 25th - although to be fair, we only really stay in once a week anyway! We did dress up nicely though, no flip-flops or shorts.
I'm still looking for work. I went to a two hour resume / CV seminar which was helpful but they still suggested I pay $200 for a full day and a one-to-one session. I said I'd think about it... I have a 50:50 chance of starting 6 weeks of temp work a week Monday so keep your fingers crossed.
I've joined a gym and have been working out for 45-60 minutes per day. After going every day for a week I'm giving myself the day off as I am seriously aching today!
No romance yet - not sure there will be any. All of the Australian men I've met so far have been absolute t*&^s! There goes the marriage visa idea, lol.
I'm just about to get ready for an agency interview and then I hope to go wander round the Royal Botanical Gardens. Weather's a bit overcast so possibly a brolly day.
Hope you're all keeping the faith and ready with plenty of English gossip for me! :-O
Toodle-pip.
