Couldnt quite find a picture suitable for this next bit. Got up at 5.00 to leave for Bangkok the next day. Previous two days the road from Siem Reap to Bangkok had been flooded -was debating having to fly or bus/ boat/ mini bus/ taxi it up to the border- which sounding long winded and unreliable. The bus trip from PP to Siem Reap was another interesting one. I just could get bored of watching how the local people lived and the kids going to and from school. Very kool. Arrived much earlier than we thought- to the bus station where there was a huge gaggle of men offering accomodation and free tuktuks. So ive already written this entry once and lost it. ill try my best to make this one as worthy of the whitbread prize!Left early monday morning for Phnom penh, $11 and you in a differnt country- amazing. The mini bus was pretty impressive and the ride a comfy 9/10 with a awindow seat- bonus.The border crossing was surprisingly painless. The border is surprisnlgy built up and impressive looking -  i think its all new. Casinos too. Strange....

So friday after the museum flew out of Hanoi down to HCMC in the south. Would have loved to have done the open top bus thing down the coast but having only given myself 6 weeks and tried to cram in a extra country something had to give.
