Hi Spanner
Come on then...get writing!! I was really disappointed not to have a new story to read...better than the Archers!
We have just got back from a very good trip to Scotland to a wedding of one of our Cross cousins. Stunning bride and her 3 sisters looked like a Vettriano poster. Cocktail dresses and long blakc gloves. Lots of kilts and about 15 really "fit" blokes - all friends of the groom - and all in kilts! Went to John O'Groats for the first time. Drive up the coast was stunning. Then went to Aboyne where Ewey comes from and walked along the banks of the River Dee where here proposed to me 15 years ago! All very nostalgic!
Becca got back from NZ today and she and Katherine called in. Lauren is in France avec le caravan. Livs had her first day in the 6th form today.
Hope you're still enjoying it all and shall really look forward to seeing your next instalment.
Much love

Hi Span. Just worked out how to post a message. Bright eh? I've sent you an email to your hotmail address. Hope it works. The Mara sounds amazing. Got me jealous. Nell is in hospital again. Mummy went t see her the other day. Says she is confused and very poorly. We are worried that she isn't being fed properly. The nurses won't do it so the very elderley can starve - and often do. She needs to be in a home now, but that's for Christopher and Joan to deal with through the doctor.
See ya

Hi Spanner
Goodness, I was holding my breath at the speed of it all. It really is wonderful seeing the animals in real life isn't it? You were lucky to see a lion quite close up. Glad you enjoyed the sunset too. It's just being in the bush that is so wonderful, as well as the animals.
We have just got back this afternoon from 9 days in Portugal with Ellie. Still no house, but should be this week. I hope you will all be able to go over, as a group, some time next year.
Looking forward to the next instalment.
Much love

Hi Spanner
Sounds as though you're experiencing some of the frustrations of African development first hand. They shouldn't duck out because you're there.
I'm sure the singing and enthusiasm at church must have been wonderful. Looking forward to hearing about how you get on in the Masai Mara.
Much love

Hi Spanner - what an adventure! You're describing it all so well that I'm right there with you! Having had such similar experiences myself I can really "feel" what you're seeing and hearing, as well as the mechanical episodes etc. I'm so thrilled you've done this. Glad you're getting on OK with the teaching side too. I'm sure you're making a great difference to the children - not just educationally, but by showing them care. Shall look forward to the next bulletin, when you have time.
Sue, Dianne (Prague) and I have just come back from a great week in Portugal. Still don't have access to the house, but should be fixed soon. It is such a beautiful area.
Katherine, Bill, Olivia and a friend are due in Prague today, but their flight is already 3.5 hours delayed.
Much love for now Weazle xxx

Hi Spanner!
This is amazing reading! I can just imagine it. We got involved with a school in Mozambique which sounded just like this. We gave them hundreds of pencils, paper, board and chalk - they had nothing! Hope you're taking photos. Get into individual faces and action shots, not just groups. Glad to hear you're getting some rest and relaxation as well! Can you spice the African food up with hot sauce - like chilli?? We had fun yesterday - went up to S&D's boat in North Wales. As soon as we got the boat out onto the river it poured with rain...we sat in the rain and had lunch and then came back. As soon as we moored, the sun came out again! Becca and Simon were here overnight en route to Prague for a few days. Sue and I off to Portugal on Wednesday for a week with Dianne from Prague. Keep us posted on your travelogue. All my love Weazle xxx
