Sorry Everyone it took me so long to post. I ussually upload photos and write when i am on the train, but we've been taking the bus for a few days.
I think this is where i left off. The second day in Dingle we went into town. Our plan was to bike the Dingle Pennisula, but the weather was horrible. It was raining and really windy. Dingle is a really small fishing town and has tons of tourist buses coming thru. We made the best of it and had lunch, walked around, and then went to a bakery. (Baked goods make anything better) We came home and made dinner and had some wine. The place we stayed had a nice wood fireplace.
The next day we took the bus to Doolin. There are no trains in this part of Ireland. We are not that fond of the buses because they arent covered by our Euro-rail pass and we are consitently having to change buses to get where we want. In Doolin we stayed at Flanagan's Hostel. We are still not really sure of the owners name, (We all forgot) but he was very nice. He could talk your ear off. Some of his family actually lived on the Cape. (Cape Cod, MA if your not from MA). He lived with his wife and three daughters in a nice house out back. He said his brother and him built both houses. Most of the Hostels arent fully booked this time of year so we ended up in a room all by ourselves with our own bathroom. Doolin is known for its traditional irish music and it only has three pubs (O'Connor's, Mcgann's and McDermott's). We headed down to McGann's for dinner and it was packed so they ended up sitting us with two other couples. One couple was from England and had a family holiday home in Dingle. The other couple was there on honeymoon and were from Seatle (where Matt and Kayleen live). He was a naturalist and she ran the Hemp festival. Very interesting people. Michelle was saying she was from Colorado and a girl at the next table chimed in and said she was too. Then her husband said he lived in Florida but was from Pittsburg and the cycle continued. Everyone in the room was from somewhere someone else in the room lived. Then another family said they were from Germany. Final someone yelled "Is any one here even from Ireland?" Haha. We ended up moving to the next bar (McDermott's) with one couple, Jamison and Mike. Great name. We had a blast. Mike was one of the funniest people i've ever met. He designed t-shirts for a living. Our hostel host was playing in the band there. We closed the bar. (Don't worry bars in Ireland close at midnight. Who would have thought.)
Next day we rented bikes and headed to the Cliffs of Moher. The bike ride there was uphill, i was definatley behind everyone but i made it. Im gonna be the next Lance Armstrong by the time i'm done. On the way home it was pouring and windy. We were soaked by the time we got back.
We left this am and are on the train headed to Dublin. Our hostel host said he loved Dunkin Donuts, so we left him a bag of it as a thank you. I can't denie someone who loves Dunkin.
Michele leaves out of Dublin tomorrow, so tonight she wants to treat us to a real hotel. ooohhh. Can't wait to take a bubble bath and not sleep in bunk beds.
We are changing our plans a little and instead of going to take a train Belfast to get a ferry to Scotland and then a bus to Edinburg (sounds exhausting), we are just gonna fly from Dublin. It will be quicker and less hassle. So tomorrow it's good bye Ireland and hi Scottland. Can't say ill miss the weather, but ill definatley miss the beer and people.
Thanks to everyone who is reading and we love your comments. As you probably already realized I'm not a good speller, but there is no spell check. So this is what you get. Thanks again.
