Hi There!
After almost 40 hours with bus from Buenos Aires I arrived yesterday in a small town called El Calafate.
Oh yes, 40 hours.. but is wasnt really that bad, the seats in the bus were pretty comfy, and with all meals included, a good book, music and an inflatable pillow it was quite alright
After only seeing step landscape and cows for 30 hours, it was amazing to see the snow covered mountains approach in the south!
Here everybody walks around in Hiking clothes and the air smells like pine tree and barbecue!
Yesterday i just got to know the town and talked to some people in the hostel, i met a girl from usa, we decided to join on an excursion to see the glacier today!
The Perito Moreno Glacier was even more impressive that i had imagined from photos!!
We went to a boat to see it at first, and then we watched from some stairs in a hill right in front of it , several times we could see enormous pieces crash down in to the lake, and the everybody just went like "wooooow" !
Later today I have just been reading in my book, made myself a salad for dinner, and done my laundry..
I got a bad cough from the air condition on the bus, so i think i will just take it easy tomorrow as well, maybe go for a small hike in the area by the the lake
Now I am bedding in soon.. Talk to ya later

astrid westerfjell sund Hei Nunne.
