Went to Sugar Loaf on 11 and Corcovado on 12 June. Used tours for both. Waste of time and money generally, especially for Sugar Loaf. Could have taken a taxi to get here and saved time. Not sure you could take taxi to Corcovado. it is set in Tijua National Park. Have to take 2 cable cars to get to the top of Sugar Loaf. The picture is of Sugar Loaf taken from Corcovado. Beautiful views from both sites. Particularly liked the view of Santos Domingo airport from Sugar Loaf. Can see planes landing, taking off on really short runways right next to the sea. If they pilot gets it wrong, will probably land in the water. Corcovado has the best 360 views of Rio and is a must do for any visitor. I love Cape Town, but I think Rio will give it a real run for its money in terms of most beautiful city.
