I arrived at the centre in time for lunch on Saturday. There were so many people here that trying to remember the names is a nightmare. There are now 10 of us working on the elephants but 2 at a time take it in turns to feed and walk the baby elephant and the rescued beach pony. Hi My God, what an amazing place. There are two extremes, the wealthy hotels and shops along the river but most of it is really poor. I decided to go on a riverboat sightseeing trip yesterday aftrnoon. I met a really nice Dutch couple who were also staying in the hotel. The traffic is a nightmare and the drivers are maniacs! Hi everyone Well I arrived safe and sound. i didn't scream too much on the plane. I got a taxi (splashed out on a limosine) to take me to the hotel and thank goodness I did. The alternatives were far too scary. The hotel is lovely although I haven't seen my room yet as I checked in 5 hours too early.
