Hi again guys! Have just arrived into Krabi, the beautiful beach resort home to the nearby Phi Phi islands. We arrived here after an air con bus journey down the coast from Khao Sok. I have named this Khao Sok as will write about what I did yesterday. I did really enjoy it there. Was such a lovely relaxing and tranqil setting. Surrounded by lush rainforest and big rugged cliff formations with mist. Something havn't really seen before.
So after tubing on the first day there which was so much fun we just all got in these rubber rings and floated down the river, which was relaxing at points and quite hairy at other points when the rapids kicked in! Then went on a rope swing half way off an emabankment.
Yesterday we ventured an hour out of our resort to a huge lake, the name i have forgotten! It was so beautiful once again. We boarded a long tail boat and rode right out for a bout an hour. Through all the wonderful cliffs and rainforest on either sides. Looking out for snakes and spiders (we didnt see any - thank god!)
Then went off into the jungle and treked through for a short while before getting to this secluded lake hut where we boarded a raft and rode out to some caves. Wondered throuygh these for a bit., before gettig the raft back and more jungle treking. Then it was time for a well deserved cool off in the lake. After eating lunch, whole fish - eyes, tail, teeth the lot was on the plate. Very nice though with some hot chili sauce! So swam in the lake for a hour or so (water was so warm, like a warm bath!) then headed back on the boat - where it rained Towards us aswell, so just after we dried off we got wet again!
So this morning after breakfast we arrived here after about 3hr bus journey. Krabi is very touristy, we have acually seen English people. and lots of backpackers! Hopefully the rain will stop soon so we can enjoy the resort.
