The desert safari and dinner was fabulous but sooooo hot! The pictures do not show how hot it was. Darren and Lachlan weren't happy with my recommendation to wear jeans because we'd be riding Camels. The Camels were there waiting, but it was too hot to even think about getting on a Camel. It was 45*C in the sand dunes and the hot sun was burning us at the start of our adventure.
Later in the evening, when the sun went down, it was still as hot but we just weren't in the sun. The food was delicious. It was such a great experience. I felt sorry for the belly dancer as it was far too hot to dance for 15 minutes. She must be so fit.
I got a henna tattoo on my hand and arm. Now everyone thinks I'm Arabic (especially with my name Leila - which is Arabic and means 'dark haired beauty' - I know you are nodding as you read this).
