Today we woke up to fine rain and a fox wandering across the 18th fairway. We had booked a day boat on the broads from Fineway Day Boats (I can thoroughly recommend their business Their boats are in vey good condition and the staff are very friendly)
We made up a picnic and headed off to meet up with David and Caroline and then on to Wroxham. By the time we got there the weather was fine. After a gentle cruise down river we pulled into the New Hotel for coffee, OK I admit it Emma and I actually had a pint! Then it was back onboard our boat for a further cruise down river we finally turned around at The ruins of the 14th century Saint Benet's Abbey which was incorporated into a windmill in the 18th century. We moored the boat alongside and after a quick look at the ruins had a picnic on board after which it was time to head back.
A pleasant time on the water was had by all with only the odd sprinkle of rain and many sunny spells lasting until we left for home, then the clouds got blacker and blacker until the heavens opened up as Emma and Linda got out of the car to go into the Supermarket. to finish off another great day we had home cooked lasagna at David and Caroline's before getting an early night.
