Well it was an early start. Up at 5am, packed, our goodbyes said and we were on the road to Amsterdam.
A fair bit of rain fell at intervals during the day with the sun barely getting a glimpse in. The driving conditions were good and thanks to the courteous and efficient driving Of the Europeans we made excellent time. We had three stops along the way and still arrived in Amsterdam by 5pm. After dropping Emma and Chris right outside their hostel (I believe they are booked into a large wardrobe) we said our goodbyes and were back on the road again bound for the Ibis hotel in Utrecht. We had covered about 1100 kilometers in the day. A bit of time to settle in and unwind of a few nibbles and vodka and orange (leftovers from Sweden) we went down to the restaurant for dinner. Linda said she was not very hungry so ordered the chef's special - a selection of 3 entrées for €7.95 Well that had to be the best value ever!! Beef gazpacho smoked salmon and chicken Caesar salad!! By then it was time to turn in for the night before another big day tomorrow.
