My last night in Freo was supposed to be a relatively low key affair, I wasn't going to go out for long, just a quick beer maybe and then back to the hostel for some kip before an early start in the morning in preparation for my tip up the west coast. Who was I kidding? One beer quickly turned into a few beers and then a few more beers in the Newport Hotel (well, it was student night after all.....). So then, another month gone by so I guess time for another blog entry. I'm still staying in the Old Firestation in Fremantle. It's quite scary how quickly time has passed by really. I've been in Australia two and a half months now and it doesn't seem like that at all! This stage of my trip was always going to be about working and trying to save some money, which I have been managing to do even though my active social life at weekends is eating into the funds. But...

So, I have now been in Australia for over six weeks and my goodness is the time flying by! I am still in Freo in Western Australia and I am still staying at the Old Firestation Backpackers. I am really enjoying myself here so no plans to change anything for the time being as I aim to stick around for another six weeks or so and then head up north on a trip through the likes of Monkey Mia, Exmouth, Broome, The Kimberleys and Darwin. The plan after that is to catch...
