Hello Everyone! So having booked our tickets to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) for 18$ we were told the 7hr bus ride would get us into HCMC at 5pm... LIES! Bus was 30 mins late picking us up, were then had to cross the Cambodia/Vietnam border which was soooo shifty! we had to hand over 1$ to this guy for no apparant reason after already paying 45$ to get the visa in the first place! When i asked why he needed 1$ he shouted "NOW" at me so i quickly handed over my dolla...

Hello all! We decided to leave Siem Reap and head out to the coast. We took the midnight sleeper bus for 15$ each down to Phnom Penh (7hrs) waited an hour and took a connecting bus to Sihanoukville (5hrs) The bus was ok, although it didn't have the beds we were promised we both kitted up - ear plugs, sleeping mask & blow up pillow. Wat a mission We're now in Siem Reap, which is further north. We got a bus for $5 which took 6.5 hours.... Not a bad price even you had minus the small kid pulling my hair and shouting "nee may" (which I took to mean are we nearly there yet) in my ear all the way. I was too wimpy to say anything... Classic me! Haha The guest house is $2 something a night, free pick up from the bus station, free water and the nicest owner! It's difficult to actually think people...

Hello Avid readers! Sooo.... Went out on the Khao San Road with Sally, who I know from work & her husband to be Andy. After many a few "sansome set buckets" - whisky, redbull & coke in a sand bucket we went home a lot worse for ware as we have 4 of them between us all!
