Hi everyone... that bothers to read on!

this wont take long... neither of us are real good an blog writing...

Well we finally arrived in Santiago - Chile after an extended stay in panama via Melbourne and Hawaii since we left Ottawa last December..... we took the long way.

Santiago has been good to us, we took a look around the city, found a quite hostel to setup camp in. The city itself is super clean and safe, very well developed but to go along with that is the cost of living... its pretty expensive.

We took a short 2 day trip out to a place on the coast called Valparaiso, nice city built on the side of cliffs basically, we managed to wonder round up and down stair cases, windy roads and not get lost... gave the old legs a good work out though! The city was pretty cool to hang round in and just wander about, endless possiblities to explore.

We got back into Santiago today and are trying to organise some sort of transport south into the Lakes district and Patagonia.... hopefully we can tee up a car of some sort and drive down so we dont miss to much.
