Did some cave discovery today was very entertaining. Started at speedwell near Castleton there were 106steps down into the mountain onto a small boat where we floated in the cave with barley enough room for our heads to clear the roof. The boat was just big enough to fit we traveled along hitting the rock walls as we went nearly lying down in the boat at some points. The tour was very informative and lots of fun except for the stairs up at the end. We then went on a tour of the devils arse which is the largest natural cave in the uk. We learned how to make rope and traveled with a guide 1/4 mile into the earth. The temp was cold enough to see your breath. The guide was brilliant it was. you could tell he had done the tour a few times. At some points we almost had to get on all fours to get threw. By the end we were happy to see daylight. The town of Casleton was very relaxed and old fashion all in stone with an old castle above the town to keep watch. The way back home we went threw Chatsworth again the scenery and road ways are undiscribable just magnificent
