Hola
Still in Buenos Aires and really enjoying the city. We have had three straight nights of partying though so we are feeling pretty tired having kept up with the youngsters. A normal evening in BA is dinner at 11, bar at 1 then a club from 3 till 6. There are loads of places to go and they are all pretty good but it pretty much knocks out the rest of the day when you do not get to bed until 6/7.
We are moving out of our hostel tomorrow to move into a homestay with an Argentinian family. The apartment is a little futher out of town and our Spanish course (starting Tuesday) will begin at 9.30 which pretty much means we will have to get back into normal time keeping - an early night tonight.
We have also been eating really well with one sushi meal being particularly good. Yesterday we went to see a River Plate game which was great fun, particularly as they won against the league leaders Godoy Cruz. River have been struggling and it was the first game under a new manager so the ground was pretty passionate, although I think it is always a little more lively than back home. See here for an idea of the singing - www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7g9iAt4OuA
We were bottom left as the camera pans in. We felt pretty smug as we avoided the tourist tours that cost 200 pesos and Steve went to the ground and bought the tickets for 80 pesos in the morning. It also meant we sat with the locals, although not the fanaticos who are up at the top and who we were gently advised not to sit with. It was a great atmosphere.

Simon All very impressive, but how many Johnstone's Paint Trophies have River Plate won? I'm not one to be a pedant, but I must take issue with the phrase, "We have had three straight nights of party". Is English your second language now?
Gill Really pleased with the reports of BA as I have just bought flights - Thailand, Borneo, Oz and Argentina... departing on 1 August and likely to be in Argentina for January (and my 30th!) Will you be in Australia around Christmas-time? We'll have to catch up there if you are!
