Hi everyone from Vancouver!!!!!!!!
So i thought I would do a quick blog update to let you all know how I'm getting on :-)
Our flight into Canada was fine - we were delayed by 2 hours so our flight took 11 hours.... but we got here eventually!
We found our hostel fine and arrived in one piece (apart from Pauls bag which broke already!)
We spent Tuesday getting used to town, went for a walk around Gastown and China town, then went for a free walking tour we saw advertised in the hostel in the afternoon. It was really good cause a guide took us around parts of town and then Stanley Park - which was huge, bigger than Central Park I think, got to see the skyline of the surrounding mountains and the city which was amazing, and the tottom poles, old zoos, everything really. We tipped the guy but can't believe it was all free! Got some cheap dinner and an early night - exhusted from my 1st ever jet lag!!
Wednesday we got up a bit later and then went for al you can eat sushi - which seems to be very big here, I think we ate about 20 times what everyone else in the restaurant did, but we're travellers!!!
Then we rented bikes (which as I'm sure most of you know, I can't ride, never could once they took my stabelisers away!!) but aparently it's the best way to see the park. After a lot of screaming, and a great crash with Kat, following by me falling off my bike, i got used to it though, and it was so woth it, we were able to see the whole park and both the lakes and all the views, and even a Racoon!!!
Ate dinner in the hostel and then met up with our friend Hannah who also went to Nottingham with us, she's been living out here working on the Olympics, went and had a drink with her which was nice :-)
Had my 1st undisturbed sleep last night, so hopefully I'm finally over the jetlag!! We're renting a car now for the rest of our time in Canada and heading off to Vancouver Island for a few days.
Hope you're all well, keep in touch - email or facebook me!!!
Much loves xxx
