Oh My Goodness! There's one week to go before we jet off to Africa! I am so excited its unbelievable, I cannot wait. I was so happy when i got the call from Platform2 and they confirmed my placement, even more exstatic when i discoverd i was heading to Kenya for ten weeks. I have met some of the people i am going with and they're all lovely, can't wait to meet the rest.

I am really hoping to have an amazing time, meet lots of people, do some great things and just have the time of my life. I can't thank Platform2 enough for providing such a wonderful opportunity, I'm sure I'll make the most of it. Living for ten weeks surrounded by new cultures and ways of life is something that can be quite challenging but we're going to make a difference and aim to come back with many inspiring stories.

My nerves aren't kicking in just yet although i'm sure they will do soon. For now however i am experiencing shear excitement about packing, the flight, the new people and not to mention everything else!
