hey everyone

were back in bangkok after a 14 hour train ride overnight night-wasnt very comfy and the air con broke overnight-only on our carridge and it was boiling.

yesterday we went to the grand palace, wat po and the art uni here to look at some exhibitions.

last night was our farewell to stepfie and carol and welcome dinner to the new people on our tour.went to a relaly nice restuarant and then to a bar which was really western and felt a bit weird-didnt feel like we were in bankgok at all.

today were just relaxing and walking around before gettin another overnight train to khao sok national park, where we'l be staying for 2 days before heading a ferry to koh sumai.

in our last days in chiang mai before coming to bangkok we went to the sister hotle of where we were staying and went to an ourdoor pool which was dead posh-lots of big sweaty rich tourists lying round the pool.the view was amazing and we could see to the hill and all the temples in the hills.

four our last meal there we went to a restuarant called cabbages and condoms.they guy who set up the resturant was half scottish and half thai and went about giving condoms to the village peopel to prevent aids and hiv-he wanted to make them as readily available as cabbage-hence the name for the restaurant.the food was really nice too and had girls offering you drinks one for each type of beer.

that all for now the next time you hear form us we'll hopefully be roasting on a beach somewhere or been bitten by leeches in the national park-cant wait for that...
