Thanks for visiting our Blog. Hopefully from here you might be able to get an idea of what we are up to on this "Top Gear" like adventure.

The story to date is this:

Earlier this year, one of our Italian suppliers, Dino arranged a fundraising Moped ride from Kuala Lumpur with the aim to get to Ho Chi Min City. The target charity is New Hope for Cambodian Children (NHCC) www.newhopeforcambodianchildren.com. I'm not exactly sure of the detail but the mopeds ended up in storage in Phnom Penh, Cambodia - 7 in total. The theme for this Fundraiser - "Did I Miss Saigon?" www.dims.com.my

Dino came to our Christmas Party on the 17th of December 2010 and said he and a friend were taking 2 of the mopeds back to Kuala Lumpur Malayasia from Phnom Penh Cambodia by road over the Christmas break. One thing led to another and in the space of a day 5 of us (Luke, Damo, Steve D., Ricko and myself) had booked flights to Cambodia on the 29th and 1 (Brad) for the 31st to Bangkok where 1 of the mopeds was being left by another rider.

The plan - to follow in Dinos' moped tracks and hopefully catch up with him in PhuKet to make a triumphant entry all together into Kuala Lumpar

And so here we are on the 28th getting ready with a sense of trepidation, cobbling together safety gear, planning to cross the borders of 2 countries on mopeds that are not ours, putting together a folder of paperwork, trying to ensure we have enough cash for 'tea money' - what could go wrong.....................................????
