Woke up to glorious sunshine after not the best weather so far. North west Europe has had its worst and wettest June ever. Spent most of the day lazing in the sun and doing all our washing. We did the royal tour of the property with all the old out buildings and fruit trees. Went to lake in afternoon with Sussie, Eva and Emma and we were very brave and went for a swim. It was cold but not as bad as I thought. The hardest bit was walking on the floating jetty as it was windy and very bouncy. Glad we went for a swim when we did as weather changed later and quite a bit of rain again. Rest of the day was spent talking and eating!
