Set off after coffee to Kaunas, a city that was the capital of Lithuania between the world wars. Arrived about 1.30 and hotel booking was a bit confusing as they were full but they sent us to another one at same price and also very central. Really hot today, about 33 but super humid. Went for a walk around town for a couple of hours and then had to go home for a cold shower as felt like I was melting from the inside! Too hot to even have a beer. Went back out and not much cooler but at least a bit of a breeze. Unfortunately we finished up being rather thirsty due to the heat so was a bit of a big night. Had a nice salad for dinner then finished up at a cocktail bar with a group of scottish people all over for a wedding, long island iced tea only $3! That may have been a mistake? Sat at another bar watching Olympics on a big screen before heading home which was luckily just across the town square.

Kazimierz Lithuania looks so interesting I loved these rpecas! The hill of witches is especially awesome. You guys definitely look like you had a blast. Oh and of course the chicken looks great. I love getting inspiration from everywhere and then recreating/reinventing it at home.
