Welcome everyone,

So I've finally done it, raised £5400 with the help of my family, charitable trusts and lots of freindly donators! This means that I am officially going to China for a whole year, suddenly everything has become very real...

Im going to be updating this blog randomly up until I leave and then hopefully weekly once I'm in China. The aim of this blog is really to share some of my experience with family, freinds, donators as well as any future volunteers who happen to stumble across this blog. Until I leave there will be no real order to what I blog about but I will try and cover; training, attempting to pick up some Mandarin, how I fundraised and my expectations and goals for the trip.

But for now I will keep this short and continue getting ready for my last day of school and exams.
