Steph and Stevens travels!
Hey,
We finally managed to raft this morning and it was freezing. It was chucking it down with rain and the river was the highest you can raft on it before they close it! A bit of luck at last for us. When we arrived we got kitted out in our sexy gear (as you can see in the photo's). We then headed down to the Kaituna river which is a grade 5 with the highest raftable waterfall in the world at 7m! The rafting was really cool and we got soaked, especially on the waterfall, the raft went totally under but we managed to keep it afloat! It was really pretty where we rafted because it was through lots of massive gorges which were narrow. It was funny at times when the guides had to say spiritual prayers because it is the Maori people's river, but the guides seemed to go way over the top at times lol.
It is still raining so we can't do anything this afternoon unless we fancy getting soaked. We leave for Auckland tomorrow morning so we can have a full day there on Sunday.
Enjoy the pictures!
Love Steven and Stephanie x x
