Hi all

As most of you know we have arrived safe and sound in our first stop Bangkok! Our flight was good and we had no probs with finding our hostel! The hostel is basic but a bargain. It even has free internet (hence all the facebbok activity) haha! When we arrived we explored the area and found the famous Kohsan Road, its busy and full of tourists from all over the world! The food stalls are great value and the food is nice! We have 3days/nights here then we are moving north to chaing mai for mountain and jungle tours!

Day 1: (Written in retrospect)
City tour via tuk tuk including every temple known to man (or thats what it felt like)! The standing budha was huge! We had egg fried rice for breakfast and no lunch! Our tuk tuk man abadoned us so we had to take another tuk tuk back to the centre! In the afternoon we took an adventure to find the shopping mall known as MBK! After a boat, a walk and train ride we found it! We took a taxi back to the hostel as we were exhausted! That night we went to Patong for the night market and to see the area! It is pretty sleezy and touristy with ping pong shows at every street, don't worry we didnt go in!

Day 2:
Today we took an organised tour to the floating market abt an hour away from Bangkok. It was good but chaotic! We got stuck in a traffic jam of tail boats, it was the like the m25! We tried some exotic fruit and cocoanut milk! It was gross! This aftermoom we organised some of our trip as this is now our job! This eve we had dinner out and teated ourselves to a thai foot massage (it was only 2pounds) amd it was brilliant! We bumped into a home friend too...small world eh?
