Days 15-16 - Surfers Paradise to Noosa
After leaving Surfers Paradise we had about a 1 hour coach journey to Brisbane and then a 3 hour wait in Brisbane before our next coach to Noosa. This turned out to be ideal as we managed to meet up with a friend who lives next door but one to me who is also travelling Australia with his girlfriend, it was lovely to catch up over lunch (McDonald's) and they told us all about there previous trips to Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand which we will have to look forward to! It was so nice to see a familiar face whilst being on the other side of the world!
We arrived in Noosa and walked to our hostel, this is one of the best rated hostels in Noosa so I felt quite relaxed! On arrival we were amazed with how lovely it was! There is water fountains on the front, a lovely pool and bar area! We were showed to our room which had air con and looked like a hotel room! BUZZING! We only have to share a toilet and shower with next door too! It's sooooo clean aswell! Honestly I could of cried with happiness!
last night we walked out to an Irish bar to watch the Liverpool vs Manchester United game which luckily ended 0-0 so there were no arguments! The little town is lovely again too with little restaurants and bars with fairy lights and candles! There is also a 'Coles' which is now mine and jakes fave shop (basically an Aldi) where we get our food and the Coles baked beans are amazing! 3 tins for 2 dollars too! (Amazing value) so we are literally living on beans on toast! Lol
The weather this morning was miserable and rainy but still really hot so it was muggy and humid - as soon the rain seemed to pass we headed out to explore the Noosa national park which was gorgeous!! Although after about an hour when we were at the furtherest point from the hostel the heavens opened and we got soaked!!! Like literally soaked! The further up north we head the hotter the weather is but the more tropical it is so one minute it's lashing down and the next it's cracking the flags! So weird! Anyway we arrived back at the hostel and I found the washing machine and tumble dryer! Woo hoo! So this afternoon we have spent all afternoon washing and drying our clothes and getting organised ready for our Fraser Island and sailing trips which start from Tuesday so we now won't need to worry about doing any washing until afterward them!
We are having a film night tonight as the weathers abit unpredictable so we have some chocolate and sweets and going to get in bed early with a good film! (We're both really excited as this is the first time we're really going to watch tv in what seems like ages!!
Tomorrow we get picked up to go to 'pippes beach house' where we will meet our Fraser Island group and get ready for our 2 nights camping on the island so we probably won't get much chance to write or contact anybody for a few days! I think we have 1 night after Fraser Island before we go on the Whitsundays sailing trip so hopefully we will be able to connect to wifi then!
We are missing you all loads!
Lots of love xxxx
