Hi Steph, Good to hear that you are ok & enjoying yourself. Doesn't it rain a lot out there!! Hope that all is going well with your teaching - sounds like it could be a bit tough if the chidren don't turn up.... Still, you could always finish the non-existent lesson early & go back for a beer!!
Take care & have fun, love Joel, Tam, Harvey & William

Hi Steph.
Delighted to hear the brolly is so useful. It sounds like you're having fun - although, as you can imagine, it's not a Laura kind of fun. Where's my taxi, champagne etc?!! I don't think Ben would be much good at it either, do you? And as for Georgia - well, I need say no more. Maybe she'll change by the time she gets to your age.
If you can teach English to such a wide range of audience in the wilds of Ecuador I'm sure you'd do fabulously well at any English school over here! Maybe that will be your vocation, Steph.
How are you getting on with the bugs? Where's your biggest bite?
Lots of love,
Laura (and James). xxx.
Steph
Laura and James that umbrella you gave me has been fantastic!! it rains a hell of a lot over here and its too hot to wear waterproofs!!

Godmother Steph
Wow, I wish they'd had one of these journals during my adventurous days! Actually perhaps it's just as well that they didn't as my correspondence to family and friends would have been wildly different and for the most part unprintable! I hope you are beginning to settle into life in South America and that your exemplary teaching skills are coming to the fore! All's well in Henley and Harry and Ollie are happily settled back into school and as always excelling at everything outside the classroom! Fergus on the other hand was thrilled to inform me on Friday, after only three days at school, that his new teacher could spell his name and no one elses perfectly! He went on to explain that his name had been written not once, but three times on this lovely white board and as I'm sure you've guessed this lovely new board is in fact the disciplinary board! I'm just praying to god that there's no repeat of 'kiss my a**'! I'll log on again next week, but in the meantime know that I'm thinking of you and wishing you all the love and luck in the world! LOL S x.

Hi there,
Sounds like an auspicious beginning.......... Yep, rely on 12 year olds every time...they are good at breaking into your car as well when you have locked yourself out....been there..in another life.
Have'nt seen your folks yet, possibly over the weekend, actually, I heard that Christie has turned your room into her new wardrobe/dressing room........

Steph.
Glad you got there safely and are already experiencing some contrasts. Como esta? (I don't know how to do upside down question marks on the computer).
I shall personally wash your little sister's horrid mouth out with soap when I see her (Kristy: you've been warned).
Have a great time.
With love from James and all the Buchanans.
xx.
