went on a game drive and saw TWO LEOPARD in the space of about 10 minutes! this morning at breakfast three hippos were having territorial problems and were fighting right in front of us! the two losers actually left the water. today i also saw a jackal in camp and rob's still having problems with genet cats in his tent and woke up once with one on his bed!

hiyahaven't written in a while - been a bit busy! i went to Rekero's other camp, Rekero Kidogo, for a few days to help host some guests and help a photographer who was taking photos for the brochure. i am therefore in quite a lot of the pictures! Rekero Kidogo is really nice. it's a bit smaller and is in the middle of open acacia land. it's outside the park so you can do walks and nightdrives which you can't do from Rekero Camp. This morning I found a baby (this definitely refers to the age rather than the size) spitting cobra in the bathroom of my tent. I told one of the room guys to warn everyone to be careful when cleaning and he just laughed in disbelief! When I said I was serious he looked for it and couldn’t find it. Assuming it had gone I nearly went in there but another guy arrived with my tea and he had a look, found it and killed it! I’m under strict instruction not...

I went on a game drive this afternoon with Salaash (a guide) and some wageni’s. Jimmy (another guide) got stuck and as we were going to rescue him a leopard ran out in front of the car! We also saw a pride of 15 lions which are apparently the Ridge Pride.
