The mothership and I travelled from the motherpod to our overnight stop at the Gatwick central travel lodge. After deciding to keep the car (more options for evening food), we went exploring and discovered "The Black Horse" thanks trip advisor! A nice simple pub grub meal and delicious puddings saw us ready to return to the hotel for a quick drink before bed. We thought the "cafe bar" in the travel lodge would be a small nook where we could get a quiet glass of wine, quite the opposite! We were transported into a brightly lit room, decorated in red and grey for social club. Two televisions showing at full volume "meet the Kardasians" and a long queue of people ordering food. We downed our wine and went to our room where the mothership proceeded to fall asleep at 9:00 PM. With little else to do I curled up on the thin kids bed and went to the land of slumber.
