Berlin... I didnt know what to expect or know what to see. But i was pleasently supprised. Its a place of so much history and pain. Hitlor, the cold war, ah a place dripping with the murder of millions of innocent people. I dont understand how one man can have so much impact of the lives of so many people. We did a free walking tour where we visted the iconic sights, the location of eth book burning, Aldof Hiters bunker where the coward hid during the end of the war and also saw a part of the Berlin wall. Such and interesting day filled with knowledge.
That night we went on a pub crawl, with all aussies, canadians and americans.. it was a good night and managed to drink our 10 Euro worth and way more of drinks.
The next day (felling rather ill) we visited a concentration camp where millions of people were tourched and murdered. This left me in disbelife and sadness. The tour guy mentioned that the maximum time before death (in these camps )from starvation, sickness, tourcher and other ways was 6months and the average weight was 35kg. Its no fair.
But on a lighter note. Berlin was interesting and a valuable history lesson.
