After we unpacked and went to the store for the food we will eat for breakfast the next 2 days, we all enjoyed a dip in the pool. The boys had jumping and breath holding contests and had a blast, while and and I just relaxed. After a few hours in the pool, we got dressed and heading into 5 pm Denver traffic. If you have never drove in a vehicle with me, I take after my mom and was a nervous wreck. Surprisingly, I was not the only one nervous... Mike wore some of the leather off my steering wheel, he was white nuckled as can be! We did however get to see The Denver Bronco stadium, Elitch Gardens, and as a nervous Mike would say, "cobbie" aka "cabbie" cross 4 lanes of traffic to get to the off ramp, narrowly missing everyone in his path.
Finally we arrived at Casa Bonita!! It was a blast. Food was ok, but atmosphere was amazing. We sat way up on a private balcony (the one Cartman sat in on the episode of South Park that featured Casa Bonita). It was nice and secluded and we would raise a little flag and our waiter would be there in seconds. The best part about this was the fresh, steaming hot, fluffy Sopaipilla's, they were amazing!!
After dinner we explored the restaurant and visited the arcade. The kids had a blast and were super sweet to their little sister and won her a fairy Barbie for an early birthday present.
