A Walk Through the History of Ilocandia

"Experience One of the Hundred Flavours of the Philippines in a Walk through the History of Ilocandia"
That line really do define the whole adventure we had in our educational tour in Ilocos. The northern and southern part of Ilocos collide in our 3-day tour. So this was the tour itenerary:
Day 1: Jan 12 Manila/Laoag - Fort Ilocandia
We left Centro Escolar University by 8:00 PM via Florida Bus. We arrived at Laoag by 5:30 AM, Jan 13. We checked in Fort Ilocandia Resort and Casino which is formerly owned by the Marcos family. It is said that it was built to accommodate all the guests who are invited for the wedding of Irene Marcos( the presidential daughter at that time).
Day 2: Jan 13 Orientation about the Hotel & Resort Management, Ilocos' tourist information, open forum and cooking demo on Ilocos' Special Cuisines
Day 3: Jan 14 Laoag City Tour
- Malacanang of the North (You can check out the Marcos's Memorabilia)
- Paoay Church and Golf Coarse ( Don't forget the 3 knocks and 3 wishes)
- Marcos Museum (Visit the waxed body of Former President Ferdinand Marcos)
- Bangui Windmills (Where 40% percent of the electricity distributed in Ilocos came from)
- Sinking Bell Tower
- St. William's Cathedral
- Museo Ilocos
- Empanada Making (VERY DELICIOUS!)
Day 4: Jan 15 Ilocos Sur Tour
- Juan Luna Shrine
- The Miraculous Virgin Church
- Pagburnayan (pottery making)
- Baluarte Zoo
TIme of departure: 9:00 PM
Time of arrival in Manila : 5:00 AM, January 16
