The Crystal Baltic
We had great weather in Stockholm and enjoyed seeing the city--home of the Nobel Prize, ABBA, Bjorn Bjorg to name just a few. A highlight of the trip was our visit to the Vasas Museum. The museum houses the restored wooden sailing ship from the 1630. It was sunk on its maiden voyage of 20 minutes. Found and salvaged in the 1970's. Really amazing to see the details and to hear the story--both of the sinking and the salvaging.
Today we are sailing the Baltic--not many times you can drop that into a note. Calm seas, Tallin, Estonia in the distance. Ship is lovely! Food is great!!
Next stop--St. Petersburg
