From Hong-Kong to the Philippines and Singapore!
After a 4 hours flight to Clark, Philippines, i met up with John and spent the next 12 days there at the Holiday Inn. It was great seeing him again after 6 weeks. and thanks to him, i was able to stay at the hotel at low expenseas he kindly used some of his loyalty points to offer me 8 free days! I was a bit surprised as i am not used to people being that kind to me! LOL
Not a lot happened there, as few days after my arrival, John got told to work 12 hours night shift, which reduced our time together to 3 hours a day (8 to 11)- but i understood his situation. Typical Military organisation, that forgot to organised enough cover for the job!
it was getting very frustrating though to see him so tired and not be able to do anything about it. i was leaving him sleeping during the day so he could get as much as rest as he could. So my day were fairly quiet - reading my book and going to the Mall as well as going to the local Casino!
Anyway, after a frustrated stay, I made my way to Singapore knowing that i would see John again in 10 days time in Japan in better conditions as he would be working normal day shift and will also have some days off.
4th time in Singapore and i decided to stay at same hotel as usual in the red district - its cheap and easy access to the city centre and the airport. Shame i am not straight and single... LOL...its full of prostitutes - but you get used to them...LOL
As i was there for few days, i spend more time visiting - The amazing Raffles Hotel in its colonial architecture, the Raffle park with the Battle Box, an underground fortress that was built by the british and used to coordinate their defense against the Japanese in WWII, a battle they lost very quickly unfortunately, which is seen as one of their worst military defeat.
