Sooo lots has happened its nearly been a month since my last blog update! I have not stopped until i was forced to haha.
I carried on working in queenstown for a while and decided it would be best if i moved on. I made some really good friends there and settled in nicely. I went for a really long walk upto literally the top of a mountain with some amazing views over queenstown. Spent some time at the beach ....tree climbing with ricci :D... Quite a long walk into town from were i was living as it was up a massive and very long hill. So i ended up hitch hiking although its not as bad as it sounds as there a specific spot where all the locals wait and they all do it so its not as bad. Also played some frizbee golf with Callum hilarious a tad to windy. So we ended up playing on a rope swing across some water .. i wish i had had a camera!! We both got drenched and decided to go for a swim in the lake which was indeed frezzing ! all the snow was melting into there so not the warmest swimming place!
Yogi one of my flat mates had me singing infront of a club full of people! I was so pleased i manage to pull off a song without sounding to much like a retard! We did 4 songs! Just me and him playing the guitar it was amazing i loved it :D.
On my last day we went and did some ice skating me callum and pranali it was quite a laugh and in shorts ??!! After we went to a pub BBQ for some food and then hit the town haha we went to a pub opening with a bucking bull i dred to see the video on facebook :/ I ended up going on it a few time and then....... topless (although they let you keep a bra on) for everysecond you are on topless they let you have a free drink i got 8:D not gonna complain it was a very cheap night!
Saturday i offically could not move ! I have never felt so stiff in my entire life covered in bruises and barely walk. Although going on a massive hike then walking straight to ice skating and doing that in shorts and then walking straight into town to go out what was i expecting ??? Had to get up early to pack.. flat mates took me to the bus stop and said goodbyes which was horrible. I was dropped of by the bus in a place called geraldine to go white water rafting then next day. They picked me up from there and too me to there place. It was in the middle of no where and i had the whole place to myself .Thankfully they had a good selection of films and coffee and tea provided a little like heaven at the time ! Slightly scary at times as it was a big wooden hut so any sounds travelled really well in it.
They made my breakfast, lunch and dinner the next day which was all very nice. Rafting was amazing !!! so much adrenaline and it was a nice small group so you got to just take your time. There was also an opportunity to jump of a high ledge into the water and i was the only one to do it i was so shocked. I think the story of someone breaking there back on it scared them but its because she didn't follow instructions.
As i was the only person that needed driving to Christchurch the guy that ran the place took me in his landrover, much nicer than haveing to go on a bus thats for sure. He was kind enough to take me to my sisters house in newbrighton. It was maisies b-day and she was having a bbq it was really nice to see the family again . Next day we went fishing me, my two brothers and sister and her daughter to waimakariri river.... shelly caught a sea trout awsome :D.
Tuesday roe drove me around lyttleton and up on the port hills some magical views form a cafe called the sign of the kiwi had the nicest sausage roll ever there . On the wednesday walk around bottle lake forest and played crazy golf which was quite fun.In the afternoon me and john slept on the beach at Rapaki such a lovely little spot. We had the fire going and had frankferter things with bread which were lush followed by marshmellows and dark choclate couldent ask for better than that !! :D In the morning at about 6.30 went for a swim soo nice.
I had had some chest pain that concerned me slightly so went to the chemist who sent me to the docs. They did an ECG which came back abnormal but my bloods were fine. The doc said wait until you get home but see ur doc straight away. If you get anymore pain go to A n E..... (more later)
On friday we had a family BBQ at gaz's house which was soo nice. Michelle had made me my favourite cake to say goodbye carrot cake it was soo nice i took a massive slice away with me and had it for breakie!
I stopped at my uncle jims for a few days him and jinitta are so lovely. We went to the international antartic centre which was quite good saw some penguins and got to go on a really wierd vehichle drive i can't rember the name! hahaHad a really nice night in catching up and chatting. The next day they let me borrow the car so i drove to shelleys and went ice skating:-)
Flew to Auckland monday in the afternoon so chilled out when i got there margret picked me up from the airport. On the tuesday we drove to claires to take matu for the day and went to the zoo . Such a nice zoo it was so well kept and lovely the animals were quite cool and yes i saw an elephant :D.
At about 3 i had a similar chest pain as i did before and thought if i pop down to a n e get it over with and see what it was .... wasn't the quick visit imagined. They took me straight through to a monitoring room where all the staff can see you and hooked me up to everything imaginable ... ecg.. sats stuff... put a canula in my elbow . Dont think they thought i was right somehow. My ecg came back as abnormal again and slightly different from the last one that i had which concerend them. so they took heaps of blood to test. They then decided that they were going to transfer me to a different hospital.... what a bloody fuss i couldent believe it, i had to wait a while as they needed to get a nurse to go with me hahaa i was still on monitors in the ambo and had a cardiac nurse to go aswell. When i got to the other hospital they did another ecg which was different from the other two so they admitted me to hospital .... I was in hospital for 3 days in the end. What a fuss it was ,, they thought i had something quite wrong with my heart from all the test results they were getting back bar my bloods which were fine. They thought i either had a baggy heart or a heart that the walls were thickening on. My Echo showed that my left ventricle was 3mm bigger than what it should be. I had a heart monitor on all the time i wasn't allowed to go anywhere on my own or walk it was either in a wheel chair or a bed i felt like such an idiot...... It turned out it was the tablets i was taking to controll my acne that was causing all the trouble giving me odd symptoms they just happened to find out about my heart. Which apparently is fine and healthy just runs slightly differently from the average heart !! What a bloody fuss ! I was treated so well and all the staff were amazing, although comments of "i cant believe your 18 and have travelled here on your own how brave i would be crying if i was you "! haha so silly. Margret(my cousin) really looked after me bought me new moon to read :-D i needed it they didnt have tv's and i had some other rellies visited which was really nice. Sleep deprivation wasn't in it though and when i was discharged i went straight to felix's birthday do ...little kids to play with not what you need when your knackered! It was lovely though had a nice time.
So that was all a bit of a fuss over nothing ! glad to know what it was and its helpful to know about my ecg's being wierd. yesterday i spent the day doing sweet nothing! and today we went for a walk along the beach which has stunningly beautiful views and a nice cafe.. (who puts grilled banana bacon pancake and syrup all on one plate???? I cant belive how nice it was!) and now were waiting for the linda jeremy and the kids to come for tea adorable little things bless!
So i am fine and well, for all you worriers out there that were panicking as i kept saying im alright and i was right :O)
I will be home before you know it 4 weeks and 3 days!
Much loveee spoo xxxxx
