So after the earthquake the buses stopped running for a good few days. I needed to get into town to look at tourist options so i went to stay with my brother who is in the centre. You can feel the aftershocks alot more there than in new brighton. There was one monday morning and his house is really old and mainly built out of wood, i was eating breakfast on my own and quite a large aftershock hit I have to say I absolutly jumped out of my skins i think it scared me more than the first one, just because there wasnt any warning(most of the time you can hear them) So spen the next few days at johns went into town twice most of the shops were shut, but we found a Inidian open and had lunch it was looooovellyy :-).
On thursday Gareth came and picked me up with his friend and we spent the day fishing at a place called Beardling's flat. It was lovely we had a fire going, cooked some sausages, caught some spiny dog fish. It was a very strange place on one side of you, you have hills/mountains similar to Ilse of Skye, then flat grass land, then sand dunes and then a really long beach with rolling waves! Hard to imagine I know. Alll in all a good day we got back had a few drinks at Gaz'z and Dinner looveely stu just what the doc ordered. Then I drove back to Johns (everyone else had been drinking and i didnt feel like an hours walk !)
I am now staying at gaz and Michelles have been since since Saturday. Really just been chilling not doing alot and its been lovely. Libby my neice is adorable and for a baby doesnt cry and is well beahaved! Only if all babies were like that ! On Saturday I got my nose peirced which i have to say hurt! The first part was fine but when the stud was in it came out again and they had to spend ages fiddling with it trying to get the bloody thing back in. it was very very sorre. But all good now :-)
Now I am off to Hanmer springs which looks amazing and I have booked myself in for a body wrap v.v.excited :-) And its a two hour bus journey there so should see some nice views.
Well i better go get out my pj's and get ready :-) xxxx
