Here safe and sound in Hong Kong, after and interesting to say the least journey to the airport and one hell of a long flight! Although the service was great and the food wasnt all that bad considering the amount of people they have to feed. I was lucky enough to have a spare seat in the middle so we had more room to spread out and the other seat was occupied by a half english half chinese lad from birmingham university, which made the flight better having someone to talk to and have a laugh with.
The Flight was very long and suprislingly cold but we were given blankets which were quite nice. Anyone going on long hall flights MASSIVE necessity ear plugs! So worth taking them the engines were so noisy and really hard to sleep through even with ear plugs i kept them in even when i was awake ot block the sound out.
Hong Kong Is Amazing!! Its a completly different world its really bizzare and hard to explain. The heat its you as you leave the airport most places are air conditioned so its like walking out of a fridge into a sauna even the public transports the same.
Amanda came and got me fromt he airport which was really nice, I would never of found my way to hers i don't think haha. The sights are amazing and the amount of sky scrapers and congrete buildings are unimaginable. its not called the congrete jungle for no reason and ive not been to the center yet.
After having dinner we went out closer to the centre and watched the light display across the water its of what the picture is above. AMAZING.... sight worth travelling to see there is nothing to decribe how fantasic this looks its beautiful in a strange kind of way the lights look so pretty and the stretch for such a long way.
On the way home a guy we think got hit by a taxi, as we turned around and he was laying under the taxi's bonnet, to out surpise he started shouting at the taxi driver got out from under it and kicked the door into the taxi drivier as he was tryng to get out and went completly mad screaming at each other we stood there trying not to laugh we walked off and as we were passing round the corner we saw to police officers so headed them in the right direction.
Tried some chinese food nothing like what you have in england ahaha, its looks like u could get food poisining from the places that serve the food but apparently its really rare. Any way I tried some and some of it was ok although im not a Huge fan of some of the cuts of meat they use hahah anything and everything i think is the rule, althought if u cant see what it is in some of the processed foods its not so bad.
Well it looks like its going to be another scorcher of a day and were going for dim sun for lunch ! :-)
