Well I never knew how hard it was to say good bye to people, and over the last wek od so I have realised how many truly amazing friends and family I have.
I had a good nights sleep until I abruptly awoke at 5.30am, and that was it, I was no longer able to get to sleep. I felt extremely sick and had a number of butterflies in my stomach. I don't know whether I was excited or scared to be honest.
After a few more emotional good byes to the family and Sasha, who gave me a lovely anklet (thank you so much) mum took me to Wadebridge to get my National Express bus to London. We had a bit of a panic when we got to White Cross as we forgot that it was Royal Cornwall Show, and there was some traffic. It wasn't too bad however when we realised that it was just a street cleaner holding us up, and not the show.
The bus arrived and mum started to cry straight away, which in turn set me off. But I know she will be fine, shes got dad, the boys and Nic Williams who's got the alcohol.
I manage to find a seat and settle down to only realise I have managed to sit opposite an alcoholic. Every now and then he will take a swig from a hip flask followed by a bit of coke, just to help it go down. What's more annoying is his phone goes off every 5minutes where he will then start to shout very loud when answering it. He has a kindle fire, which he likes to play his music a loud from, informing everyone on his bad taste of music and also the cackling laugh he has when the overhead talk over comes on. The lady informs us that drinking among other things are not permitted on the bus, and he thinks its hilarious as he has been swigging whisky since he's been on the bus. (I know its whiskey because he was telling his friend about it down the phone)
The bus makes one or two stops, which is nice as im able to get up and walk about, my back kills if I sit for two long. We arrive at London Heathrow Main Bus Terminal around 30 minutes late, however it doesn't bother me, as it only means I has less time to wait for my next bus. Staff at the terminal are really kind, and I easily find my next bus which will be taking me to Terminal 5. I am the only person on this bus, and the driver takes me straight to terminal 5 and doesn't really wait around for anyone else.
Once I get to Terminal 5, I have to get on the H57 which is a hopper bus that goes to and from the hotel and T5. After some confusion I'm able to find the correct hoppa bus. Its £8 return for the bus, where I then proceed to give the driver a £20 note. However they do not accept £20's in London so I'm told, which I'm shocked at, and b*****ed as I don't have anything smaller on me. I ask anyone on the bus if they have two 10 pound notes which I could swap for a 20, and everyone says no. I start to panic but then this lovely old lady pops up saying that she does have the money, and I'm able to get on board.
The bus takes me straight to the Travel Lodge where I will be staying the night.
I easily check in and go straight to my room. Mum had paid for my room which only cost £34.00, and it included a buffet breakfast in the morning. The room is actually really nice, with a double bed, bathroom with shower, TV and somewhere where I am able to do my makeup etc. I unpack what I need and then head down to the bar where they have free Wi-Fi. You are also able to print things and get money out from the bar area which is handy. I am able to let mum etc know im safe, and head back up to my room for a few hours and watch a bit of Jezza Kyle. At around 6 I go back down to the bar to get some tea, I'm so tired all I want to do is sleep. I ordered a burger and chips and paid £9.95 for it with a glass of rose, and let's just say the food wasn't the nicest thing I had eaten. Oh well I was hungry and tired so ate it and headed to bed. I finally managed to drift off around 7.30pm. Silly idea.
