Day 8 Rome
Early departure on the train to Rome. The train is such a nice way to travel- although we were a little late, a protest held us up and because of construction our taxi dropped us 3 blocks from our hotel. My patience was tested and the girls were starving. After a minor fall apart we regrouped and met our guide at the Varican only 20 minutes late. He kindly took us to the cafeteria first thing. We had an incredible tour, the girls have no idea how special it was here today. The Sistine Chapel was closed in order to prepare for the celebration tomorrow of St. Peter so there was no one here. Unbelievable! We headed back to our very cool hotel where we had snacks on the rooftop, took a break and went back to Varican at 8:00 to see the Sistine Chapel which was also not crowded. What a day, what a city!!!
The Vatican was really beautiful and I love Rome! Also, the Sistine chapel was amazing to see..it had so much detail.
