We woke up to the random scenery of North Dakota. Had breakfast and literally watched the same scenery view for the entire day! North Dakota and Montanna were just small rocky mounds and flat prairies....with a few strange houses dotted about! Would not like to break down near any of those places...reminders of movies like "the hills have eyes" and "Wolf Creek"!!! Met some stange people getting on and off the train...very outback country folk...

After the best nights sleep we headed to Union station to catch our train to Vancouver. The train was a double decker...unfortunately there were no sleeper carriages even after 3 days of trying! We had to grin and put up with the thought of 51 hours on the coah class of the train :( After a about 8 hours we stopped in Minneapolis for an hour as we were really ahead of schedule...we dashed into the ticket office in the last ditch attempt of getting some sleep ov...

Spent 12 hours on the overnight train to Chicago this morning, man.... seriously not going to cope with a 51 hours train to Vancouver in a few days!!! Sooooo unconfortable trying to sleep on the chairs, especially right next to the carriage doors with people going in and out all throught the night! Anyway, once at Chicago station we hailed a cab to take us to our Pentalon Hostel. Not one cab driver knew this place, which was supposed to be 5 mins from the statio...

Arrived in Buffalo around lunch time. Train to chicago doesn't leave until midnight so we have a lot of time to spare!!!! Just in a typical american mall at the moment, found a place with unlimited free internet, amazing! Going to catch a couple of films at the cinema, then will catch the midnight train to georgia.......er....no....chicago! Walked to Niagara falls on the american side, Soooo amazing. Crossed over the border to the canadian side. Just been on the maid of the mist voyage (managed to drag hannah on there kicking and screaming...she siad it was "too cold and don't wanna get wet"!!) and low and behold we got more than soaked...she was right!!! lololol Going to have some dinner and see the light show on the falls this evening.
