We know it hasnt been too long since we updated last, but we are getting free internet in Chicago so thought we would make the most of it as we are not sure how good the access will be in the next week.
Vegas was incredible! we both absolutely loved it, it was absoultely mental but was so fun. It is just as crazy and over the top as everyone says, most of the hotels are themed and they are absolutely crazy, with like roller coasters in them or shopping malls or lakes in front of them. On thursday we went to the Grand Canyon which was absolutely spectacular!!!! it was a long and expensive day, but totally worth it as the view was breathtaking, and although we both took loads of photos they do not do the view justice. was pretty scary in parts as a lot of the trail doesnt have any railings so one slip and your dead basically, plummiting a mile ! i tried to push Soph off the edge but she wasnt having any of it. the next few days in Vegas were spent chilling out, seeing all the places and soaking up the sun by the pool - the heat was totally intoxicating, reaching about 110 degrees most days! so we couldnt really do much in the day because it was too hot, so we made the most of the evenings (although they were a sweat-fest too!)
one of the other most awesome things we saw was the Fountain show at the Bellagio hotel. we took a video of it, but we cannot upload photos or videos yet as neither of us bought the USB for our cameras (durrr), so photos might have to wait until we are back in florida. the fountain show was amazing though, who thought water could be so entertaining!!!
we were sad to leave vegas, although it was tacky and busy, it was also extremely fun and its definately the kind of place you can just lose yourself in and be yourself. we have both decided we wil definately return when we are old enough to drink and gamble!!!
and in case you were wondering: no i didnt get married in a chapel (sorrrry Batty, no divorce handling for you!)
we then flew to Chicago which is a damn sight colder than Vegas! its pretty much like england the temperature here, but it is nice to be able to walk around without your face melting. we went on a sunset boat tour of the skyline which was amazing, so so beautiful, although we both froze our butts off!! we are just off out now to explore some more of the city, we are travelling over night to Toronto tonight, and the drinking age there is 18 so as soon as i get there i am cracking open a beer! talk about withdrawel symptoms!!!
anyway, hope you are all well, we miss you and love you xxx
