Sad, sad, our last day. After another yummy breakfast featuring 'beef bacon', we packed hurriedly and paid a visit to the Country Club Spa for an Ayurveda massage.

A relaxing and slippery experience, involving as it did being slavered with oil from head to toe on a wooden board before being sat in a 'steam cupboard' and finally being sent into the shower with various products to wash off the oil. All rounded off with a herbal tea.
By this time, it was after checkout time so we hot footed it downstairs to check out and into a waiting taxi... The driver was gentle with us compared to some and only reached speeds of 110km per hour during the short urban journey!

A wee bit of duty free shopping at glitzy Dubai airport and it was time to board our flight for the very last hours of our adventure...

And what a varied adventure it has been - from scaling the heights of Tiger Leaping Gorge on foot to taking the lift up the tallest tower in the world.... from eel parcels on the street in Lijiang to Arabic cuisine at a fine restaurant in Dubai... from -12 in Beijing to +26 in Guangzhou.... from solitude at the Great Wall to a jam-packed train to Yongding.... from urban cityscapes to Himalayan peaks.
