The amazing European adventures of a lost little A
So Saturday we went on a trip with the foreign kids. You know for Germans having the reputation of being so punctual. The WILMA people are chronically late. It was cheap and it was a nice day, so we enjoyed ourselves. We got to go to Poland, unfortunately, Poland was closed Saturday afternoon. Or at least the part we were in... They made everyone who wasn\'t and EU citizen go to a different entrance. What we fondly named the FU side of Poland. Let\'s just say I\'m glad I\'m not poor. We did manage to get some Polish beer and vodka. And I have some Polish money, which carries about the same value as toilet paper. But hey, have you been to Poland?
I\'m beginning to worry that I may actually starve to death here. I don\'t cook. And I furthermore don\'t really have groceries if I wanted to cook. I made mac and gouda this weekend. Eva didn\'t seem to think that counted as cooking, but I disagree. It\'s the only cooking I\'ve done since I got here. I had to boil the pasta, and melt the cheese and everything. Yesterday, I boiled tortellinis and poured on some jared sauce. It\'s like I\'ve been cooking up a storm. However I\'ve already lost interest in that, and today resorted to eating half a loaf of bread instead.
The good news is I managed to open a bank account in German today. I\'m not entirely sure what I signed up for, but it was free. Now I have to fudge my way through 2 classes. But it\'s not so bad because it\'s with Dr. Tieg, and though I don\'t really understand what she\'s saying, she\'s funny. And I\'m with the other foreign kids, so they don\'t really know what\'s going on either. Although I think I may have to hold Kali back from giving diamond tooth a round house kick to the face....
